Corner house with garden at the front (3)
I believe the answer is:
hog
'corner' is the definition.
(I've seen this in other clues)
'house with garden at the front' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'house' could be 'ho' (abbreviation for house) and 'ho' is found within the answer.
A single letter 'g' remains which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for hog that I've seen before include "Pig, who holds the road perhaps" , "Swine - keep for oneself" , "Monopolise" , "Greedy person or pig for slaughter" , "A male pig or a greedy person" .)
