Cross about sex drive (4)
I believe the answer is:
eros
'sex drive' is the definition.
'eros' can be an answer for 'drive' (Freudian drive). I am not sure about the 'sex' bit.
'cross about' is the wordplay.
'cross' becomes 'sore' (I've seen this in another clue).
'about' is a reversal indicator.
'sore' reversed gives 'EROS'.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for eros that I've seen before include "Famous statue in Piccadilly, London" , "Greek equivalent to Roman Cupid" , "Greek god of love - see statue in Piccadilly" , "Rose for the love-god" , "Greek name of Cupid" .)
