Currency’s new, look at advisory (5)
I believe the answer is:
naira
'currency's' is the definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I cannot understand how one could define the other.
'new look at advisory' is the wordplay.
'new' becomes 'n' (common abbreviation eg NT for New Testament).
'look' becomes 'air' (I've seen this before).
'at' is a charade indicator (letters next to each other).
'advisory' becomes 'a' (this might be a standard abbreviation which I don't know about).
'n'+'air'+'a'='NAIRA'
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for naira that I've seen before include "Nigerian capital" , "Foreign bread" , "Nigerian currency unit" , "change from W Africa" , "African rhino" .)
