Cursed bedlamp’s alive, man held (10)
I believe the answer is:
blasphemed
'cursed' is the definition.
('blaspheme' can be a synonym of 'curse')
'bedlamp's alive man held' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'man' could be 'em' and 'em' is found in the answer.
This may be the basis of clue (or it may be nonsense).
Can you help me to learn more?
I've seen this clue in The Sunday Times.
