Cyprus largely concocted praise (3,2)
I believe the answer is:
cry up
'praise' is the definition.
(I've seen this in another clue)
'cyprus largely concocted' is the wordplay.
'largely' means to remove the last letter (most but not all of the letters).
'concocted' is an anagram indicator.
'cyprus' with its final letter taken away is 'cypru'.
'cypru' anagrammed gives 'CRY UP'.
I've seen this clue in The Independent.
