I believe the answer is:

dandelion

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'a wine' is the definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I cannot understand how one could define the other.

'daughter ann holding up drunk' is the wordplay.
'daughter' becomes 'd' (genealogical abbreviation).
'holding' indicates putting letters inside.
'up' says the letters should be written in reverse (in down clue: letters go upwards).
'drunk' becomes 'oiled' (I've seen this before).
'oiled' reversed gives 'delio'.
'ann' placed around 'delio' is 'andelion'.
'd'+'andelion'='DANDELION'

'gets' is the link.

(Other definitions for dandelion that I've seen before include "salad plant" , "It has a bright yellow flower followed by a fluffy seed ball" , "Yellow weed" , "Flower with a "clock"" , "Common yellow-flowered weed" .)

I've seen this clue in The Telegraph.
