Deduce there isn't a big blaze? (7)
I believe the answer is:
inferno
'blaze?' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'deduce there isn't a big' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'deduce' could be 'infer' (synonyms) and 'infer' is found within the answer.
The remaining letters 'no' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for inferno that I've seen before include "hot spot" , "Large dangerous fire" , "Dante's scene of horror" , "(Fiery) Hell" , "A raging fire as in hell - ask Dante" .)
