Definitely decide to settle your differences? (7)
I believe the answer is:
resolve
'definitely decide' is the definition.
'resolve' can be an answer for 'decide' (synonyms). I am not sure about the 'definitely' bit.
'settle your differences?' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'settle' could be 'solve' (I've seen this before) and 'solve' is found in the answer.
The remaining letters 're' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).
'to' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for resolve that I've seen before include "Find the solution (to)" , "Fix" , "Settle; firmness of intent" , "work out" , "Make a firm decision" .)
