Dessert order one wouldn’t get in a mess (5-3)
I believe the answer is:
apple-pie
'dessert' is the definition.
(I have seen 'Common dessert ' mean 'apple-pie' so perhaps 'dessert' could also mean 'apple-pie')
I don't understand how the remainder of the clue works.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for apple-pie that I've seen before include "Fruit dessert (with order suggesting perfection?)" , "Dessert - kind of bed or order" , "Sweet pastry dish" , "Common dessert" , "Sweet (in good order?)" .)
