Develop a liking for bear also missing tail (4,2)
I believe the answer is:
take to
'develop a liking for' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'bear also missing tail' is the wordplay.
'bear' becomes 'take' (taking is a kind of bearing).
'also missing tail' becomes 'to' (I can't justify this - if you can you should believe this answer much more).
'take'+'to'='TAKE TO'
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for take to that I've seen before include "Develop liking or ability for" , "Like" , "Develop a liking for, or adopt as habit" , "Develop a particular liking for" , "Become fond of" .)
