Deviation - no time to harbour miserly attitude (9)
I believe the answer is:
demeanour
'attitude' is the definition.
(I know that demeanour is a type of attitude)
'deviation no time to harbour miserly' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'deviation' could be 'mean' (mean deviation is a kind of deviation) and 'mean' is found within the answer.
'no' could be 'o' (O resembles 0) and 'o' is found within the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for demeanour that I've seen before include "Behaviour" , "Outward bearing" , "Appearance and attitude" , "Manner of behaving towards others" , "Enamoured of the way a person behaves" .)
