Device storing large amount of data - and a game! (7)
I believe the answer is:
tombola
'game' is the definition.
(tombola is a kind of game)
'device storing large amount of data and a' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'large' could be 'l' (eg in clothes sizes) and 'l' is located in the answer.
'amount' could be 'mb' (Mb is an example) and 'mb' is located in the answer.
'of' could be 'o' and 'o' is found within the answer.
'a' is within the answer.
The remaining letters 'to' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for tombola that I've seen before include "it involves the luck of the draw" , "Fair game" , "Lottery in which tickets are drawn from a revolving drum" , "Lottery with a rotating drum" , "Ticket-drawing game" .)
