Dictator of where to draw the line? (5)
I believe the answer is:
ruler
'dictator' is the definition.
(I've seen this in another clue)
'where to draw the line?' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'draw' could be 'rule' (ruling is a kind of drawing) and 'rule' is present in the answer.
A single letter 'r' remains which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'of' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for ruler that I've seen before include "Sovereign, for example" , "Strip with straight edge to measure" , "Man in charge" , "Measuring device" , "One governing" .)
