Discussed at the club, indeed (7)
I believe the answer is:
debated
'discussed' is the definition.
(debating is a kind of discussing)
'the club indeed' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'club' could be 'bat' (as in sporting equipment) and 'bat' is located in the answer.
The remaining letters 'deed' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This may be the basis of clue (or it may be nonsense).
'at' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for debated that I've seen before include "Discussed formally" , "Contemplated" , "Shared opinions" , "Argued" , "Considered" .)
