I believe the answer is:

refute

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'disprove match' is the definition.
'refute' can be an answer for 'disprove' ('refute' can be a synonym of 'disprove'). I am unsure of the 'match' bit.

'official beginning to unveil note' is the wordplay.
'official' becomes 'ref' (match official in football, say).
'beginning to' says to take the initial letters.
'note' becomes 'te' (**).
The first letter of 'unveil' is 'u'.
'ref'+'u'+'te'='REFUTE'

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for refute that I've seen before include "Negate" , "Prove wrong; deny" , "Prove that statement or accusation is wrong" , "Contradict, prove that statement is wrong" , "Rebut; deny" .)

I've seen this clue in The Telegraph.
