Do you think of me as fit and friendly? (7)

I believe the answer is:
amiable
'friendly?' is the definition.
('amiable' can be similar in meaning to 'friendly')
'do you think of me as fit' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'me' could be 'mi' (both are spellings of the musical note) and 'mi' is found within the answer.
'as' could be 'aa' (two letter A's) and 'aa' is found in the leftover letters.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'and' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for amiable that I've seen before include "Of sweet and friendly disposition" , "Charming" , "Good-humoured" , "'Friendly, pleasant and good-tempered (7)'" , "Friendly and good-natured (7)" .)
