Although both the answer and definition are plural nouns, I can't see how one could define the other.

I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'among' could be 'in' (eg among or in a group) and 'in' is located in the answer.
'aristocracy?' could be 'class' (aristocracy is a kind of class) and 'class' is found within the answer.
