Double set arranged for group of performers (6)
I believe the answer is:
sestet
'group of performers' is the definition.
'sestet' can be an answer for 'group' (I have seen 'Group of six ' mean 'sestet' so perhaps 'group' could also mean 'sestet'). I'm not certain of the 'of performers' bit.
'double set arranged' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
an anagram of 'set' is 'est' which is present in the answer.
'arranged' could be 'set' (similar in meaning) and 'set' is present in the remaining letters.
No letters remain.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).
'for' acts as a link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for sestet that I've seen before include "Tsetse (anag.)" , "Group of six" , "Six together" , "musical ensemble" , "Set of six performers" .)
