Drink given to small man being taunted (6)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

teased

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'being taunted' is the definition.
(I've seen this in another clue)

'drink given to small man' is the wordplay.
'drink given' becomes 'tea' (tea is a drink. I am not sure about the 'given' bit.).
'to small' becomes 's' (abbreviation - e.g. clothes size).
'man' becomes 'ed' (short for Edward).
'tea'+'s'+'ed'='TEASED'

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for teased that I've seen before include "Poked fun" , "Tantalized" , "Annoyed or separated fibres" , "Separated fibres - ragged" , "Annoyed playfully and carded wool" .)

I've seen this clue in The Daily Express.
