Easily impressed by credit cards, say (7)
I believe the answer is:
plastic
'easily impressed by credit cards' is the definition.
'plastic' can be an answer for 'cards' (I've seen this before). I'm not sure about the 'easily impressed by credit' bit.
'say' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'say' could be 'as' (I've seen this in other clues) and 'as' is present in the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for plastic that I've seen before include "Generic name for certain synthetic materials" , "credit may be on it" , "Like some cards" , "Capable of being moulded" , "Credit card - pliable" .)
