English composer shortly penning strain for Scots accepted copying of movements (10)
I believe the answer is:
echopraxia
'copying of movements' is the definition.
'echopraxia' can be an answer for 'copying' (I have seen 'irrational copying' mean 'echopraxia' so perhaps 'copying' could also mean 'echopraxia'). I'm not certain of the 'of movements' bit.
I don't understand the remainder of the clue.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Another definition for echopraxia that I've seen is " irrational copying".)
I've seen this clue in The Times and The Sunday Times.
