Escape from Truss versus Sunak, perhaps (3,3)
I believe the answer is:
run off
'escape' is the definition.
(I know that run off is a more specific form of the action flee)
'from truss versus sunak perhaps' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'from' could be 'off' (eg someone might be from or 'off' a TV show) and 'off' is present in the answer.
The remaining letters 'run' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for run off that I've seen before include "Draining rainfall" , "exit at speed" , "tie-breaker" , "Drain" , "Escape" .)
