Example lacking in approach (6)
I believe the answer is:
stance
This could be a double definition.
'example' is the first definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I cannot see how they can define each other.
'lacking in approach' is the second definition.
The definition and answer can be both human attributes as well as being singular nouns.
Maybe there's a link between them I don't understand?
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for stance that I've seen before include "Attitude (of body, mind)" , "Position assumed by upright person" , "Way of standing, like golfer addressing ball" , "Bearing" , "Player's posture for making, say, golf stroke" .)
