I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'immediate occupation' is the definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I can't see how one could define the other.

'expression of annoyance for your' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'expression' could be 'word' and 'word' is found within the answer.
'of' could be 'o' and 'o' is located in the answer.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for crossword that I've seen before include "(Usually) black and white puzzle" , "Puzzle (for the intelligent)" , "Puzzle like this one" , "Puzzle with squares" , "this, appropriately" .)

I've seen this clue in The Globe and Mail.
