Expressions of excitement issue over the Tannoy (4)
I believe the answer is:
oohs
'expressions' is the definition.
(I have seen 'expressions of delight' mean 'oohs' so perhaps 'expressions' could also mean 'oohs')
'excitement issue over the tannoy' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'over' could be 'o' (cricket abbreviation) and 'o' is located in the answer.
The remaining letters 'ohs' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).
'of' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for oohs that I've seen before include "Exclamations of surprise, shoo away" , "With aahs, they're expressions of delight" .)
