Far away on a Norfolk lake (6)
I believe the answer is:
abroad
'far away' is the definition.
'abroad' can be an answer for 'away' (I've seen this before). I'm not sure about the 'far' bit.
'a norfolk lake' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'a' is present in the answer.
The remaining letters 'broad' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'on' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for abroad that I've seen before include "In a foreign country" , "Stare lecherously at (someone)" , "to France, maybe" , "in France, say" , "not in Britain" .)
