I believe the answer is:

beehives

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'workers' homes' is the definition.
The definition and answer can be both man-made objects as well as being plural nouns.
Maybe they are linked in a way I don't understand?

'farm animals are seen around most of his' is the wordplay.
'farm animals are' becomes 'beeves' (I am not sure about this - if you are sure you should believe this answer much more).
'seen around' means one lot of letters goes inside another.
'most of' means to remove the last letter.
'his' with its final letter removed is 'hi'.
'beeves' placed around 'hi' is 'BEEHIVES'.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for beehives that I've seen before include "Habitations for hymenoptera" , "An apiarist cares for them" .)

I've seen this clue in The Times.
