I believe the answer is:

pacy

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'fast' is the definition.
(I've seen this in other clues)

'money earnt by hand holding clubs' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'money' could be 'p' and 'p' is located in the answer.
'clubs' could be 'c' (abbreviation used in card games such as bridge) and 'c' is found in the answer.
The remaining letters 'ay' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This explanation may well be incorrect...

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for pacy that I've seen before include "Fleet" , "nippy" , "Showing good turn of speed" , "Fast" .)
