Figure to get more anaesthetised (6)
I believe the answer is:
number
'figure' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'get more anaesthetised' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'get' could be 'be' ('get' can mean 'come to be') and 'be' is found within the answer.
'more' could be 'm' and 'm' is found in the answer.
The remaining letters 'nur' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'to' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for number that I've seen before include "Count - a digit?" , "Digit, integer" , "theme tune?" , "One possibly" , "Comparatively torpid" .)
