Find depressed woman, say (6)
I believe the answer is:
locate
'find' is the definition.
(I know that locate is a more specific form of find)
'depressed woman say' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'woman' could be 'cat' (cat is a kind of woman) and 'cat' is located in the answer.
The remaining letters 'loe' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for locate that I've seen before include "Find - position" , "site" , "Set in a particular place" , "Find; lay hands on" , "Put in place" .)
