I believe the answer is:
likewise
'ditto' is the definition.
(I've seen this in another clue)
'find sage' is the wordplay.
'find' becomes 'like' (I can't explain this - if you can you should believe this answer much more).
'sage' becomes 'wise' (similar in meaning).
'like'+'wise'='LIKEWISE'
