Find the French coat wrapped inside (6)
I believe the answer is:
locate
'find the french' is the definition.
'locate' can be an answer for 'find' (locating is a kind of finding). I am unsure of the 'the french' bit.
'coat wrapped inside' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
an anagram of 'coat' is 'ocat' which is present in the answer.
This may be the basis of clue (or it may be nonsense).
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for locate that I've seen before include "Find - position" , "Pinpoint in Alecto" , "Find by searching" , "Find; lay hands on" , "Find, or establish in particular place" .)
