Following article, positions out of public view (6,3,6)
I believe the answer is:
behind the scenes
'out of public view' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'following article positions' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'following' could be 'behind' (I've seen this in another clue) and 'behind' is present in the answer.
'article' could be 'the' (the definite article) and 'the' is located in the answer.
The remaining letters 'scenes' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for behind the scenes that I've seen before include "in the private sector" , "Playwright is" , "Where stage hands work" , "responsible for acts, partly" , "out of public view" .)
