Frank or Luke's place? (8)
I believe the answer is:
postmark
'frank' is the definition.
(I know that frank can be written as postmark)
'luke's place?' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'place?' could be 'post' ('post' can be a synonym of 'place') and 'post' is found in the answer.
The remaining letters 'mark' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'or' acts as a link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for postmark that I've seen before include "It shows date and time of mailing" , "Frank" , "Stamp cancellation" , "Stamp franking" , "It is stamped on envelope" .)
