Free to make money from property again (7)
I believe the answer is:
release
'free' is the definition.
(to release someone is to free them)
'money from property again' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'money' could be 'l' (L can mean 'pounds') and 'l' is found within the answer.
'from' could be 'e' (I've seen this in other clues) and 'e' is located in the answer.
'property' could be 'r' (r is a kind of property) and 'r' is located in the answer.
The remaining letters 'ease' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).
'to make' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for release that I've seen before include "Free - delivery" , "Liberate" , "loose" , "Let go" , "Prisoner eagerly awaits this" .)
