Fresh directions (3)
I believe the answer is:
new
'fresh' is the definition.
(synonyms)
'directions' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'directions' could be 'ne' (I've seen this in other clues) and 'ne' is located in the answer.
A single letter 'w' remains which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for new that I've seen before include "Recently made, etc" , "Unused or novel" , "Not existing before" , "Not previously used" , "Seen for the first time" .)
