Crossword Genius

Georgia, with upset stomach, gets the full range (5)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

gamut

'the full range' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)

'georgia with upset stomach' is the wordplay.
'georgia' becomes 'ga'.
'with' is a charade indicator (letters next to each other).
'upset' says the letters should be written in reverse.
'stomach' becomes 'tum' ('tum' can be a synonym of 'stomach').
'tum' reversed gives 'mut'.
'ga'+'mut'='GAMUT'

'gets' acts as a link.

(Other definitions for gamut that I've seen before include "Ambit" , "The whole range or scope of anything" , "Complete range or scale" , "Full extent" , "Entire scope" .)

I've seen this clue in The Telegraph.
