German white wine from the Rhine valley (8)
![Ross](/clue/static/ross-mug.min.png)
I believe the answer is:
riesling
This clue could be a double definition.
'german white' is the first definition.
(I've seen this in another clue)
'wine from the rhine valley' is the second definition.
'riesling' can be an answer for 'wine' (Riesling is an example). I'm not certain of the 'from the rhine valley' bit.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for riesling that I've seen before include "Sir Ingle makes wine from this grape" , "Dry white wine (German)" , "Strange wine for Sir Ingle" , "Fragrant white wine from the Rhine valley or from California" , "Aromatic white wine from the Rhine valley" .)
