Give up, losing rating for working without pause (2,3,2)
I believe the answer is:
on and on
'give up losing rating' is the definition.
I know nothing about this answer so I can't judge whether this works.
'working without pause' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'working' could be 'on' (on can mean working or activated) and 'on' is found within the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'for' acts as a link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for on and on that I've seen before include "Continuing or continually" , "Unceasingly" , "Ever" , "At tedious length" , "Endlessly" .)
