Giving place and time immediately (5,3,4)
I believe the answer is:
there and then
'immediately' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'giving place and time' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'and' could be 'n' (common abbreviation for 'and') and 'n' is found in the answer.
'time' could be 'ad' (AD, Anno Domini, as opposed to BC, Before Christ) and 'ad' is present in the remaining letters.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).
(Other definitions for there and then that I've seen before include "Forthwith, immediately" , "Without hesitation" , "Instantly (but not here and now!)" , "straight away" .)
