The definition and answer can be both body parts as well as being singular nouns.
Maybe there's an association between them I don't understand?

'globe' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'globe' could be 'ball' (synonyms) and 'ball' is located in the answer.
The remaining letters 'eye' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
