I believe the answer is:

tastes

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'swallows' is the definition.
The answer and definition can be both acts as well as being plural nouns.
Perhaps they are linked in a way I don't understand?

'goes around filming locale with perched' is the wordplay.
'goes around' says the letters should be written backwards (I've seen 'going around' mean this).
'filming locale with' becomes 'set' (I can't explain this - if you can you should believe this answer much more).
'perched' becomes 'sat' (I've seen this before).
'set'+'sat'='setsat'
'setsat' in reverse letter order is 'TASTES'.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for tastes that I've seen before include "Samples the flavour of" , "Penchants or appetites" , "Savours with the palate" , "Partakes of" , "Likings as for food sensations" .)

I've seen this clue in the Irish Times.
