Going round Land's End, you can get near this forest (5)
I believe the answer is:
arden
'this forest' is the definition.
(forest in Shakespeare's As You Like It)
'going round land's end you can get near' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
an anagram of 'end' is 'den' which is located in the answer.
The remaining letters 'ar' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for arden that I've seen before include "Collection of trees" , "The forest of --, setting for As You Like It" , "Wooded region of Warwickshire" , "Playwright; Shakespeare's forest" , "Wood in play" .)
