Ross

I believe the answer is:

gilt

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

This might be a double definition.

'gold-coloured' is the first definition.
(I've seen this before)

'young sow' is the second definition.
'gilt' can be an answer for 'sow' (I've seen this before). I'm not sure about the 'young' bit.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for gilt that I've seen before include "following 28 [SILVER]" , "Covered in gold leaf" , "Golden" , "Coating that looks like gold" , "Bond" .)

I've seen this clue in The Telegraph.
