Half bone-weary and irresolute in time for resolution? (3,4)
I believe the answer is:
new year
'time for resolution?' is the definition.
'new year' can be an answer for 'time' (I have seen 'Time of Epiphany' mean 'new year' so perhaps 'time' could also mean 'new year'). I'm not sure about the 'for resolution?' bit.
'half bone-weary and irresolute' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
an anagram of 'weary' is 'wyear' which is located in the answer.
'and' could be 'n' (common abbreviation for 'and') and 'n' is found in the answer.
A single letter 'e' remains which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'in' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for new year that I've seen before include "Early days?" , "midnight celebration" , "January 1st" , "1 January" , "Annual starting point" .)
