Hammer: force nailing everything (6)
![Ross](/clue/static/ross-mug.min.png)
I believe the answer is:
mallet
'hammer' is the definition.
(mallet is a kind of hammer)
'force nailing everything' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'force' could be 'e' (E is the symbol of electromotive force) and 'e' is located in the answer.
'everything' could be 'all' (I've seen this before) and 'all' is found within the answer.
This may be the basis of clue (or it may be nonsense).
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for mallet that I've seen before include "Large hammer with wooden head" , "Small wooden hammer" , "Wooden hammer used in polo" , "An auctioneer's wooden hammer" , "Wooden hammer used in croquet" .)
