Have a go at spinning (4,2,1,5)
I believe the answer is:
give it a whirl
'have a go' is the definition.
(both can mean to try something)
'spinning' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'spinning' could be 'awhirl' (I've seen this in another clue) and 'awhirl' is found within the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'at' acts as a link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Another definition for give it a whirl that I've seen is " Try something".)
I've seen this clue in the Sydney Morning Herald.
