Have a quarter on hold (3)
I believe the answer is:
This could be a double definition.
'have a quarter' is the first definition.
'own' can be an answer for 'have' (to have something is to own it). I'm not certain of the 'a quarter' bit.
'hold' is the second definition.
(I've seen this in another clue)
'on' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for own that I've seen before include "Possess - recognise - admit" , "Acknowledge" , "Control" , "Be in legal possession of (3)" , "Possess or confess" .)
