Have trouble getting up? (7)
I believe the answer is:
clamber
'up?' is the definition.
Although both the answer and definition are verbs in their base form, I don't understand how they can define each other.
'have trouble' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'have' could be 'lamb' (lambing is a kind of having) and 'lamb' is present in the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'getting' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for clamber that I've seen before include "Climb awkwardly (over something)" , "Climb using hands and feet" , "Scale awkwardly" , "Scramble awkwardly" .)
