Having an inclination to be angular? (4)
I believe the answer is:
lean
'angular?' is the definition.
(I've seen this in another clue)
'having an inclination' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'an' could be 'a' and 'a' is located in the answer.
The remaining letters 'len' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'to be' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for lean that I've seen before include "Current update (colloq.)" , "The fatless part of the meat" , "Thin; heel" , "Inclination" , "Of meat, with little or no fat" .)
